About Us

RJA Principal, Rodney James, has over 30 years of experience in the Australian arts industry and is recognized nationally for his innovative work in the development, care, presentation and interpretation of exhibitions, collections, publications and gallery/museum buildings and displays.

Rodney has curated over 60 exhibitions and is the author of numerous scholarly essays and monographs on Australian art. He has a B.A (Hons) and M.A. in art history and is a former lecturer in the Department of Visual Arts, Monash University. He has worked at the Queensland Art Gallery, Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, Victoria prior to becoming a consultant in 2013.

RJA Partner, Patricia James, is an experienced administrator, art handler and cataloguer. With formal qualifications in Early Childhood Development, Horse Husbandry and Aged Care Nursing, Trish is a people person who brings a wealth of experience to the role.
